The Big Lamp

The Big Lamp was a performance inside of a racquetball court illuminating the interior of a two-story aerialist rig in Oberlin, OH. Aerialist Teddy Ment explored the membranes of the cloth-covered structure to musical accompaniment by Leah Bertrand (sine tones), Andrew Dana (chord organ), Dirk Roosenburg (trombone), and Isaac Shalit (percussion) to convey a sense of concealed and emerging immensity.
